To Set Goals - Write Your Obituary

Scary and totally contradictory the title sounds. Goals and Obituary! But i came across this thought few years back.

To set goals, they say you first imagine what people will tell about you when you die.

Obituary 1:

He was an entrepreneur par excellence. His business empire spread across the entire world. He did not lose his values and empathy though.

Obituary 2:

She was a wonderful human being. She helped everyone in need. Was never short-tempered and was everybody's friend.

And so on. So, think of how you want people to remember you in your personal and professional life. Put it down in words. Find the gap between your actions and the words on the paper. Change or continue your life path to get what you want. After all human beings yearn for appreciation and acceptance from fellow beings.
